ITSA appoints Proactive Marketing to head up Media Relations


Following the untimely death of Peter Smith, MD of S&J Communications, the Interconnect Technology Suppliers Association (ITSA) has appointed Proactive Marketing & Communications Ltd. to continue to work with its members and the industrial / electronics press in establishing ITSA as the recognised voice of the UK interconnect industry.

John Ellis, MD of Proactive Marketing, comments. “Peter Smith was my best friend and mentor. Originally a client of S&J I went to work for him in 2001. He was very influential in the creation of Proactive Marketing, and we continued to work together on many projects. I am honoured to have been asked to continue his excellent work with ITSA.”




John Biggs, Chairman of ITSA added “We were very conscious, that as an association, we wanted to continue on the PR path developed by Peter Smith over many years and to be represented by a likeminded media agency, we feel that John Ellis and Proactive Marketing fit the brief perfectly”.

ITSA is the only UK association representing companies who operate in the interconnection technology arena and will continue to follow a clear roadmap to increase its membership, its voice in the media, and with other Trade Bodies and Standards Organisations and with lobbying for the benefit of members.
