Features 8 male and 8 female XLR connectors in a 1U x 19” Rack Panel

Cliff Electronics leaders in the design, development and manufacture of connectors and test equipment announces the availability of a new version of their very popular pre-assembled connector rack panels. The CP30183 rack panel features 8 male and 8 female 3-pin front mounted XLR sockets. Cliff’s pre-assembled connector panels assist systems integrators by simplifying and speeding up assembly time while reducing component count and cost

Widely used in audio and broadcast (studio and mobile) applications the new loaded rack panel is also suitable for instrumentation and control connectivity.
The connectors have solder tag connections and a cable strain relief bracket is provided to secure internal wiring against strain and vibration. A connector labelling strip is located on the front of the panel to allow users to identify each connector.

Other pre-assembled rack panels available from Cliff feature 16 of their market leading FeedThrough connectors each and available in the following configurations: 50Ω, 75Ω and 75Ω gold insulated BNC, CAT6 RJ45 and
CAT6A, HDMI A to HDMI A, USB2 A to USB2 B and USB2 B to USB2 A. Fibre Optic connector types ST / BFOC, LC duplex SM and LC duplex MM. Two other non-Feedthrough versions are mounted with XLR 3DCM and XLR 3DCF connectors.

Cliff rack panels may also be supplied without connectors for end users to mount their own single or mix of connector types. Any connector with the standard 24mm-diameter XLR panel cut-out may be fitted.

Cliff manufactures a wide range of standard and FeedThrough connectors which may be mounted in their panels. These include: RJ45, HDMI, BNC and USB3.0 compliant single and dual USB versions in addition to the existing range which provides Analogue, Digital and Optical Feed-Through connectivity in formats including Firewire, HDMI A-A and 50 ohm BNC versions, USB2 A-to-B and B-to-A “gender change” sockets high speed USB Type – C, USB3 to USB3 in all gender changing configurations – A-A, A-B and B-A. Also available are all popular data and Ethernet connectors including USB 2.0 and 3.0, LC and SC Fibre (Duplex & Simplex), UTP and FTP RJ45s in both Cat6 and Cat5e (shielded and unshielded), Toslink, RCA Phono and HDMI and blanking plates.

Harting release a clean connection: Han® F+B for the food industry

Businesses in the food industry who want to shorten set-up times and reduce production stoppages can do so by using connectors. As a result, HARTING have developed the Han® F+B series. The series is specially designed to provide strong resistance to detergents, function in a wide temperature range from -40 to +125° C and prevent the build-up of dirt. The housings are certified by Ecolab and have FDA 21 approvals.
Hygiene and safety are particularly important in food processing, so machines and equipment must be easy to clean. Circular shapes and smooth junctions, transitions surfaces, threads and seals were chosen for the Han® F+B to ensure a hygienic, easy-to-clean design and to make it harder for dirt and bacteria to accumulate.
An interface for food production must also be resistant to the water jets used to clean equipment (IP69K) and the Han® F+B meets these requirements. Coupling and uncoupling is fast and easy with the specially designed housing profile, which enables secure handling, even in humid environments.
If machine downtime occurs, users no longer need to open a cable gland on the control cabinet to decouple devices. As a result, costly detaching and re-establishing of hardwired connections is eliminated and machine downtimes are greatly reduced.
For secure identification, the connectors are blue (a black version is also available) and the housings can be used with hybrid contact inserts for data, signal and power. This makes it possible to configure future-proof machine design for processing units, including Ethernet. With the use of an adapter, the user can integrate a selection of Han® 3A inserts, including RJ45 interfaces, signal inserts with up to 21 poles as well as power contacts for currents up to 40 A.
